Four criteria, stated up front
Every business is judged on specialization, ratings from real customers, the completeness of its phone, hours and web details, and the parts of the metro it reaches. The reasoning sits on each list, so you are not asked to trust a black box.
Who it helps
Families relocating from California or the Northeast who can’t yet tell Plano from Pleasant Grove, longtime Dallasites replacing a contractor, SMU students, and visitors in town for the State Fair or a Cowboys game across the county line in Arlington.
Paid visibility
A place on a ranking can’t be bought. Businesses that already have one may choose to pay: Pro adds their own photos, description and contact buttons; Top lifts them to one of the first positions. Both carry a label, and the rest of the ranking stays as the criteria set it.
